Amy Lawson, DMD
Dr. Amy Lawson has been a dedicated dentist for over seven years, joining the Anthem Dentistry team in January 2024. She is passionate about building trusting relationships with her patients and making every visit to the dentist a positive experience. Dr. Lawson finds great fulfillment in helping her patients regain their confidence through smile restoration, and she strives to create an environment where everyone feels comfortable and cared for.
Why Did You Want to Become a Dentist?
Dr. Lawson's journey into dentistry began in high school when she shadowed her family dentist. She quickly realized how transformative dental care could be for patients—relieving pain, improving aesthetics, and enhancing overall well-being. This experience solidified her desire to pursue a career where she could make a tangible difference in people's lives.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Life Science from Arizona State University before attending Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in Glendale, Arizona, where she obtained her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. While in dental school, Dr. Lawson became certified in both laser dentistry and Invisalign®. Her commitment to staying at the forefront of dental advancements is evident in her ongoing education, including courses with SPEAR Education.
Outside of the Dental Office,
What Do You Like To Do?
Outside of the office, Dr. Lawson enjoys an active lifestyle with her husband, Charlie, and their two rescue dogs, Honey and Pepper. Together, they explore the great outdoors through hiking, camping, mountain biking, and more. Dr. Lawson is also an avid runner, having completed three marathons, with plans to tackle her fourth soon. Additionally, she loves to travel, read, cook, and is a big Disney fan.
